Dancing shoes

As 6 year old, I did ballet lessons - and stopped about a year later when I went into the 'hating pink' phase. It's a bit of a shame really, because I can't help but feel I'd be a lot more elegant and a lot less clumsy than I am now if I had carried on!

These photos are inspired mainly by a Repetto advert that I saw in a magazine, showcasing a beautiful pair of white leather shoes that I instantly fell in love with. Unfortunately I couldn't afford the €160 price tag, but when I saw these slightly similar ones in H&M for £10 I was over the moon.

Repetto specialise in ballet supplies (hence the ballet theme to the photos) - but they have a beautiful collection of shoes and bags that wouldn't look out of place in any fashionista's wardrobe. I particularly love their T-bar heels and brogues - not to mention pumps in every colour imaginable.

I took these photos on self timer - it took so long to get the right look!

P.S. I have absolutely no idea when the bookworm photos will be ready! It could be a few weeks...

Those pictures are beautiful. I seriously though they were screen caps from one of those fairy-style mini-movies, at first. Zxx

Gorgeous photos! I'm in love with the lighting! And the shoes look awesome with the grey socks and your tights!
And I think every girl has a moment where she thinks: "damn I could have been a ballerina''

Oh I did ballet and pointe for ten years!! I recently stopped because I got too old for my studio but, I loved it so. I definitely think it helped me in my posture and general grace though. I loved all the ballet fashions too. I love this post, I always have a soft spot for this sort of thing.

I also would love to have the repetto shoes! However even if I dedided to buy them i did not know which colour to take. I thought about getting these from H&M, but did not take them because I don't like shoes made of artificial leather. They look much lovelier on your pictures that I remember them.

Despite the amount of time this photos might have taken, it is so worth it! So dreamy! Makes me wanna build a cozy tent out of my bed sheets too, although the sleeping boy of mine probably wouldn't appreciate that.

Nice shoes! Makes me miss H&M... Have always loved everything dance-inspired like that.

you have a true talent for photography - these photos perfectly capture the essence of dance. [i was a classical ballerina for 14 years and i hated pink too!]
